Crafting a Bold & Refreshing Identity for Popix Gum
Popix Gum is a vibrant, fun, and modern confectionery brand crafted to deliver a burst of flavor and joyful experiences. The packaging design features playful typography, electric color palettes, and dynamic patterns that create instant shelf appeal for kids and young adults alike.
The Challenge
One of the biggest challenges was making chewing gum feel relevant to Generation Alpha. Traditional gum packaging focuses on flavor and product benefits, but Gen Alpha is growing up in a world driven by gaming, social media, digital identities, and self-expression. A regular fruit-based gum pack would easily get ignored on both store shelves and social feeds.
The Solution
To solve this, I repositioned POPIX from a chewing gum brand into a mood-based experience brand. Instead of leading with flavors, each variant was built around an emotion—Social, Energy, and Focus. I introduced collectible mascots called POPIX Pals, a sticker-inspired visual language, gaming UI elements, and bold mood badges that instantly communicate personality. This transformed the packaging from a simple FMCG product into something that feels collectible, shareable, and designed specifically for Generation Alpha culture.
